Oliver was a 16 year old teen when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer. After many rounds of chemo, several surgeries, and participating in clinical trials to move the science forward, he died at home a week before his 17th birthday, surrounded by his family and beloved dogs.
Oliver is much more than how he died, he lived in a big way! He is a scout (earned Eagle Scout posthumously), a maker of lots of art - he loves mixing colors and using clay, an adventurer interested an anything that looked exciting, a great wit who also loved amazing pranks (April Fools is a national holiday at our house), and a traveler. There are so many places he wanted to go, and we hope that these rocks will travel the world on his behalf.
Be a maker, be a traveler, find some joy every day, and take time to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
